“I’m a Los Angeles based keyboardist, by way of the beautiful and culturally rich region of South Louisiana. Over the years I’ve been extremely fortunate to travel the world making music with some of music’s most revered artists.
I started my career touring with 6-time Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee, Dr. John (Mac Rebennack). Though Mac has passed on, his musical philosophy is something that I keep very close to me.
Following my time in Dr. John’s band, I spent two years on the road playing keys with Grace Potter, on occasion covering guitar, bass and drums in her band. My touring years also include significant time playing with Jenny Lewis (On The Line Tour), Sean McConnell, Karen Elson, Better Than Ezra, and Betty Who. During this time period I had the privilege of playing TV appearances on Ellen, Fallon, Kimmel, Colbert, Corden, and Conan. I’ve played in many iconic venues and festivals like Radio City Music Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Red Rocks, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, New Orleans Jazz Fest, and Bonnarroo. I played in Don Was’ Exile on Bourbon Street tribute to The Rolling Stones and I’ve made music on various stages with Warren Haynes, Willie Nelson, Jamie Lidell, Stanton Moore, John Medeski, Earthlings?, Mojave Lords, and The McCrary Sisters.
A big part of my musical life is spent creating in studios with different musicians and producers. I’ve played on records by Madi Diaz, Sean McConnell, Kevin Griffin, Better Than Ezra, Marc Broussard, Cape Weather, Maggie Rose, Brother Dege, The Prescriptions, Chase Cohl, and many others.
As a composer I write for string quartets and woodwinds for albums, I can also create full arrangements by using tasteful VST instruments when budgets don’t allow for the real thing. I’ve created music for Gimlet Media podcasts, Jalouse Magazine Billie Eilish feature, and other media.
I’m a founding member of the music collective, Pet Fangs. You can hear our recent LP Ultra Deluxe and other singles here. Our music has been used in Showtime’s Shameless and in fashion campaigns for Halston X Netflix, AMIRI, Umbro x Material Girl, Krewe Eyewear, and Billy Reid.
My focus in every musical situation is to highlight emotional experiences. I am constantly drawing inspiration from everything within me and around me. I see my instruments, effects, and combinations of notes as a way of communicating a feeling. As a musician it’s my duty to be present and to serve the music with the best ideas and sensitivity that I can possibly offer.”
